On the 18th of December 2025, the Slough City Administration officially begun the transfer of all land to the Londinium Corporation. To be finalised on the first of January, the amalgamated land is to become the Londinium Borough of Croydon. Before then, the area of Slough was entirely undeveloped, though once the transfer began, a main road was paved and several buildings were constructed beside it. A tunnel was also dug, forming the left junction at Londinium Bridge; this makes Croydon accessible via road, though rail connections are yet to form.
Thus far, Slough/Croydon has been rapidly expanding, and is expected to populate soon, though it is highly unlikely to be a major part of the city. The total area of Croydon is also restricted by nearby mountainous terrain, meaning the Borough is unlikely to expand that far.
Ordnance Survey reached out to make a statement regarding the area’s rapid expansion:
“For practical reasons, we can no longer maintain a full map of Londinium. As such, we have elected to make Croydon a separately mapped region. We will map Croydon when the time comes.”
