Elizabeth Line Station Opened in Bond St., But No Trains?
The Elizabeth line is to be Londinium’s next major railway line, yet TfL have been rather hush-hush about the affair. The Elizabeth line platform in Bond St. is now open to the public, however, there is nothing to see except the platform itself and a barrier with the words “Coming Soon / Elizabeth Line”. The method of entry into the platform has sparked significant interest - to descend, one jumps down a hole and falls into water, and to ascend, a standard water elevator is employed. No doubt a classy way to go up and down.
A TfL spokesperson had this to say:
“We’ve yet to decide what station will connect to this one, but rumour has it it’ll be Heathrow Airport.”
