Yesterday, Exeter East Airport was officially opened. To celebrate, Squid Airlines performed the maiden outbound voyage from Melanie City Southwest International, with British Airways doing the same in reverse.
The Squid Airlines flight, SQ-160, was smooth and uneventful, with three passengers attending. The return flight, designated BA-0000 as the airline hadn’t set up any permanent routes yet, was attended by two people and was also mostly uneventful, though one [] attempted to smuggle berries into the Kemonomimi Republic.
The airport is currently fully operational, though baggage claim is not yet available. A FrivoloCo Chocolates location has been opened at the retail space and a third check-in desk is yet to be claimed. British Airways also noted that they do not plan to make the airport their central hub, as Exeter International Airport, still in the early planning stages, will be their future international artery.
