Heathrow Airport Location Selected, Preliminary Construction Begins
The plot of land for Heathrow Airport has been selected and the land has been excavated to build the airport. The result is a sprawling, flat plane of stone where the airport is to be built.
The airport will be located next to the Royal Mail distribution centre.
