TfL Announce Revamp of Bond St/Oxford Circus Train Route
TfL have announced their intent to demolish Platforms One and Two of Bond St. Station and their adjacent destinations in Oxford Circus and replace them with a single bi-directional Central Line route. This decision has been made amidst growing concerns that the over-air Central route is dangerous and ugly, as well as the fact that both the Central and Jubilee platforms served near-identical functions.
“We expect this to be a significant effort, but it’ll be worth it”, said a TfL spokesperson.
