Bond Street Platform Two, connecting to the former Oxford Circus station, has officially been shut down. TfL cited ‘low demand’ and ‘the overkill natureof a train between two locations so close together’. Londiniumites are not particularly pleased about yet another Bond Street platform closure, though on the bright side, Oxford Circus station is for sale. Perhaps we’ll see something more productive in its place than a train station to nowhere?
Digitisation note: The Londinium Times did not use a consistent denonym for citizens of Londinium at the time, as seen in this earlier article.
