Londinium's First Airport Opens For Business and Pleasure
Luton Airport celebrated its opening day yesterday by using a fireworks display. Estimates claim it will receive as many as one million visitors per year from all around the world. “We hope that Luton becomes a world-class airport loved by international travelers for its culture”, said a spokesperson for the Luton Corporation. Expert Mike Whiteley claims that “the airport’s runway is too short to support the volume of travel the company claims it will. On top of this, a lack of amenities tells me it’s not going to be be loved by all the people around the world.”
