The old TAY Embassy in Londinium, located on the highly coveted Bond Street, has been replaced with a Metropolitan Police station. The embassy building, instead of being demolished and replaced, was cosmetically modified after TAY agreed to give up the land and building following the construction of a new embassy on Regent Street.
The colour scheme was changed from TAY colours to simply blue, and the birch replaced with oak. The computers were removed and the consultation rooms converted into empty cells with iron doors. While there remain security concerns, there are plans to route a secondary switch with levers accessible only to staff in order to prevent escape attempts.
It appears that TAY did not object to the move, though they did not prove a statement. The Metropolitan, however, did:
“We plan to make more of these police stations in busier areas, both to give people peace of mind as they know that we do indeed exist, and also to give people somewhere to make reports. Our next target shall be the Baker Street area as well as Cockfosters. We plan to duplicate this design across all locations.”
