Northern Line Opening Delayed

The opening of the new train route between Bond St. and Fleet St. part of the all-new Northern line has been delayed for logistical reasons. The main issue cited was the significant overlap of infrastructure underneath Bond St. station. The main issue is that there are three platforms very close to each other, which results in the train route needing to use ‘hacky’ workarounds (as one TfL employee put it) to make it work. This includes the route ploughing straight through the maintenance tunnel of a different line. While this is sure to excite train nerds this serves as a major practicality problem. However, the line has been built, so the delay in opening is unlikely to be major unless a serious problem is identified.
